This week’s poem comes from Graciela Lotharius, who writes: “A lot of my eagerness about ways to really write without caution comes from my belief that I have a gift that is meant to say important things, so that others can get their message. A lot of my beautiful gifts are making their debut, so find a seat and listen up. Are you ready for more than what meets the eye? If so, then you are ready to hear what I have to share.”
Being the Real Me
With more intelligence than Stephen Hawking
With more beauty than a supermodel
With more grace than a ballerina
With more of a voice than a correspondent
With more spice than curry
With more watchfulness than an air traffic controller
With more thanks than a gratitude journal
Can we try
to be given
the chance to fly
through the sky
by letting go of the sparks
of mess
that have made their way
uninvited
into our lives?
