[Here is a link for all those who missed or want to revisit the celebration for Hannah Emerson’s The Kissing of Kissing at the Poetry Project last week]

This week’s poems come from Kashi Krishnan.

Kashi Krishnan appears before a window in a close-cut beard and a green shirt that says go green.

Soul searching is a favorite pastime of mine.  One day, as Aviv and I were conversing through verses, ‘Deep yearning’ was born as a search for a new definition for soul poetically.

Deep yearning
To know
What is hidden
Under the thick
Covering of body
And a vast spacious
Boundless mind
What’s underneath

Peeking in and out
Making selective
Appearance
For times
Of unimaginable
Needs and wants
Not making sense
At once

Unless you are intent
On rediscovery
Uncontent
Emptied out
No matter
What’s around
Searching for the discovery
Of what wants to be found

Whispers of the skies is really an interesting way of looking at elemental influences on us and a positive embrace of universe with a beautiful gift of home yours and mine, beautifully ours, Mother Earth.

Skies whisper with the light rays teasing
The eyes to look and immerse
Skies whisper with the tender sounds
Caressing the ears gently coercing a response
Skies whisper with tender droplets of water
Touching the earth rousing earthy wafts
Skies whisper don’t fear I’m holding you in place
Along with your giant home
Whispers continue…
