Listening Yesterday
This week’s poem commemorates another anniversary. It’s a collaborative poem (what Sid calls Jugalbandi) written by Sid Ghosh and Chris Martin to celebrate six years of working together.
Listening Yesterday
I am welding
a sixth sense
out of teal nails.
Six feet under
yester poems and
tethered lives rise.
Ghost pipes unfurl
in the shadow
of a grizzly bear.
Is that a bear?
I thought it was
my grizzly past.
Listening, the bee
makes of the peony
an echo chamber.
He rises like
sound, I no
that poet.

Happy six years! ❤️
I love this poem. I love every stanza. I love that reading it invites me to feel with all my senses.
